Birthday Party (a little early)!

Sam's first birthday party was held at our house on May 18th since we are going to be in Florida on his actual birthday. Despite not taking a nap in the morning and a few stressful moments leading up to the party, I think everyone had a good time. We borrowed a bouncy house for the older kids and the new play set was a hit with the babies that walk. Sam focused on the bubble machine and the balloons. I will have to post a picture of his birthday outfit on his birthday- he wouldn't stand still long enough for me to take a picture at the party.

He has grown so much in the past year! He ran all over the backyard at his party and he tries to be so independent. At one point, he ran across the backyard all by himself. I don't think he ever sits down-ever! He is constantly on the move. He weighs about 23 lbs now and we will need to check his height, but he is a big boy! He has at least six teeth, but it looks like a few more are coming in now. He is so animated and seems to have so much fun all of the time! We love him more than we could have ever imagined!!

This was obviously not his first rodeo...he has indulged in a few cupcakes and seems to know how to eat them!

Sam is not the biggest fan of sharing-Eli is about to get stiff armed!
