8 months-where has the time gone?

This little guy is on the move and was a little uncooperative for his 8-month pictures. He could only think about getting back down to play!

Sam's first pancake breakfast...smiley face oatmeal pancakes with syrup. I think he loved them!

All gone!

Where's Sam?

There he is!

Catch up

The Kremser household has been battling illness for the past two weeks. Sam has had an ear infection for almost a month, then he caught RSV from one of his classmates, and now Kyle has something. I will catch the blog up later, but just wanted to share a couple of pics of this cutie!! He has one tooth and is getting another one! He is also determined to walk before he crawls!

Busy!

This is the busiest little guy that I know! He is always into something! Changing his diaper these days takes two-three people to hold him down. He can't stand to be still...ever!

7 month pic!

Here is Sam's (belated) 7 month picture. This was actually the hardest one to take yet because he never sits still. He was trying to grab the dogs, a ball, me, anything that was near him. He started doing the cutest thing yesterday where he tried to put his pacifier in my mouth and then he would die laughing when I pretended that I was taking it. He has also started playing peek-a-boo at random times so we always have to be ready to say, "where's Sam?"..."there he is!". There's usually only time for a "there he is" after the first time because he loves that part so much.

I can't believe it's been over seven months since this guy came into our lives. What in the world did we do before Sam? I'm pretty sure I thought I was busy! (Obviously, I was not very busy tonight as I was putting this little masterpiece together in picmonkey.) We love this guy more than you can imagine!

Happy New Year, Merry Christmas, Happy 7 Months to Sam!

Did I miss anything else that has happened in the past month? December was a busy one and we are hoping things slow down a little in January, especially at work.

Sam is up to all kinds of fun things these days. At the beginning of December, he decided he was a big boy who needs to walk everywhere. Now, we have to hold his hands while he walks around the house, furniture, etc. In the past week he has started to pull himself up on the coffee table and walk the length of it. Since acquiring this skill, he has decided he doesn't need our help anymore. When we try to help him up by grabbing his waist, he pushes our hands away. He also thinks he can bend over and pick things up as he is walking, which has led to several falls a day hour. He has also started waving hello and goodbye and he LOVES to high-five. We went to the doctors office yesterday and he had to high-five everyone around us. He also really likes to blow spit bubbles and has figured out that he can spit medicine back at you if he doesn't like it.

His favorite toys are any kind of ball, his little tykes garden activity center (that he can walk around), his laptop stand, and popup books. He has a really good throwing arm...it's actually a little scary at times! He seems to be a south paw (like my mom) right now. I think if you look up the definition of the word "boy", Sam's picture is next to it. He is all boy, if that is possible at seven months. It is truly amazing to watch him play as you can almost see the wheels spinning. He is not really interested in crawling at all, but he can scoot on his bottom across the room and he can drag himself across the floor. He also likes to try to do pull ups on his activity center. This guy is crazy strong!

Last week, Sam weighed in at 20 lbs at our two days before Christmas double ear infection doctors appointment. He loves to eat! His favorite food is probably baby yogurt (any flavor), but he pretty much likes everything. I have started to give him table food that is soft, but mostly he throws it on the floor. The dogs love this. He is a big guy as he is in the 75th percentile in height and weight.

Fun times with Uncle Adam

Taking a break on Christmas morning

Paper eating- the best part of present opening

With the exception of the double ear infection, we had a great Christmas with Sam. We went to Christmas Eve Mass on Monday afternoon with Mimi and PawPaw (Don) and then had dinner with everyone, including my dad and brother, that night. Uncle Adam stayed with us over his winter break and Sam had a great time getting to know him. Adam was a big help at watching him while we did things around the house. On Christmas morning, my mom, PawPaw (Terry), Mimi, PawPaw (Don), Mother, and GG Mama came over and watched Sam open presents. He had a ball with a box and the paper. On Christmas afternoon, we went to Mother's and Sam opened even more presents. We were exhausted at the end of the day, but so grateful to spend so much time with family. Sam was a champ despite his ear infection.

On New Year's Eve, I took Sam back to the doctor because I didn't think the antibiotic was doing the trick on the ear infection. His ears were still bad so we started a new antibiotic last night. Since Sam wasn't feeling that great, we cancelled our NYE plans and stayed in last night. Sam woke up at 7:15 this morning feeling very refreshed after 12 hours of sleep! He has been going to bed around 7:30 and waking up at about 7 in the morning. We will have to adjust his schedule once he goes back to school at the end of this week. We aren't looking forward to that as sleeping until 7 or 7:30 is great for the weekends!

Here are some pictures of what Sam has been up to over the last few weeks. He is such a clown! We are so blessed to have him in our lives. He just needs to stop growing up so fast!!

A box!

I think Kyle was a little jealous of this gift!

More pictures to come, but I wanted to put some up before I became completely overwhelmed! We had a wonderful Christmas and spent a lot of time with family and friends. We are looking forward to see what Sam does next!
